Home Business Tax Savings, Inc. Affiliate Program Terms
Version 1.1 — Effective September 27, 2026.
1. Approval Required
These Affiliate Program Terms are an agreement between Home Business Tax Savings, Inc. (“HBTS”) and the individual or business applying to promote HBTS products, including the Business Overhead Identification Tool (the “Affiliate”). The program is approval-only. Submitting an application does not make you an affiliate. Each application receives a permanent affiliate assignment number. After HBTS approves an application, the applicant must accept this Agreement electronically; the applicant becomes an active Affiliate, and the referral link begins earning commission, only after that acceptance is recorded.
2. Affiliate Relationship
The Affiliate is an independent party, not an employee, partner, joint venturer, franchisee, or agent of HBTS. The Affiliate is responsible for its own taxes, expenses, and business decisions, and may not make statements, commitments, or agreements on behalf of HBTS.
3. Affiliate Commission
The current standard commission is 30% of the amount actually paid on each qualifying sale (for example, $11.10 on a $37 sale and $23.70 on a $79 sale). HBTS may change the commission rate for future sales. A change applies only to sales made after it takes effect; each recorded sale keeps the rate and commission amount in effect when it occurred.
4. Affiliate Tracking
Sales are tracked through the Affiliate's unique referral link. A sale qualifies when the buyer arrives through the Affiliate's link and purchases within 60 days. HBTS keeps a record of a buyer's first referral, but if a buyer uses more than one affiliate link, the most recent valid referral within the 60-day window receives credit. HBTS's tracking records are final for commission purposes.
5. Self-Referrals
Affiliates may not earn commission on their own purchases or on purchases made for themselves, their household, or accounts they own or control. HBTS may decline or reverse any such commission.
6. Minimum Payout
A minimum payable balance of $50 is required before a payout is issued. Balances below $50 carry forward until the minimum is reached.
7. Payout Schedule
Qualifying commissions become payable on the 15th of the month following the close of the month in which the qualifying sale occurred. For example, a qualifying sale made anytime in October becomes payable on November 15.
8. Payout Method
Commissions are paid manually by HBTS through PayPal to the PayPal email address the Affiliate provides. The Affiliate is responsible for keeping that address accurate. HBTS is not responsible for payments sent to an incorrect address supplied by the Affiliate.
9. Refunds, Reversals, Disputes and Chargebacks
If a sale is refunded, reversed, disputed, or charged back, the related unpaid commission is reversed. If the commission was already paid, the payment history is preserved and HBTS may deduct the amount from future commissions or otherwise recover it.
10. Discounts and Coupons
Affiliates may not create, offer, advertise, or publish discounts, coupons, or promotional codes unless they were issued by HBTS for the Affiliate's use.
11. Paid Advertising
Paid advertising that uses the HBTS name, the Business Overhead Identification Tool name, or other HBTS product names — including search-engine keyword bidding and paid social ads — requires HBTS's prior written approval.
12. Income, Profit, Tax and Financial Claims
Affiliates may not make promises, guarantees, or claims about profits, income, savings, tax results, pricing results, or any other financial outcome. The Business Overhead Identification Tool is an educational planning tool; it does not provide tax, legal, or accounting advice.
13. Approved Marketing Materials
Affiliates should use HBTS-approved descriptions and materials. The approved product description is: “The Business Overhead Identification Tool helps a business owner identify what it costs to keep the business operating. You enter the information, and the tool performs the planning calculations. NO MATH REQUIRED.” HBTS logos and trademarks may be used only as supplied by HBTS and may not be altered.
14. Email, Text and Social-Media Marketing
Affiliates must follow all applicable laws for email, text-message, and social-media marketing, including consent, identification, and unsubscribe requirements, and must clearly disclose their affiliate relationship when recommending HBTS products. No spam or unsolicited bulk messages.
15. Affiliate Conduct
Affiliates must act honestly and respectfully, and may not use misleading, deceptive, offensive, or unlawful promotion methods, or anything that could harm the reputation of HBTS or its customers.
16. Termination
This relationship continues until either HBTS or the Affiliate ends it. Either party may end it at any time. HBTS may also suspend or terminate an Affiliate’s participation at any time under this Agreement, including for any violation of these terms. While suspended or after termination, referrals do not earn new commissions. Commissions earned on qualifying sales before suspension or termination remain subject to these terms, unless the suspension or termination is due to a violation of these terms.
17. Program Changes
HBTS may update these terms or the program. Updated terms will show a new version and effective date, and HBTS may ask the Affiliate to accept the new version. Each version the Affiliate accepted is kept on record unchanged. Rate changes never alter commissions already recorded.

Affiliate Program Terms, and that your typed name is your electronic signature.
