Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Home Business Tax Savings, Inc. (\u201cHBTS\u201d) collects, uses, and protects information in the Business Overhead Identification Tool.
Information we collect
Account information you provide: name, email address, and optional business name.
The business planning information you enter into your worksheets, such as expense labels, amounts, frequencies, shared-use percentages, and owner-pay figures.
Purchase and access records: purchase date, amount paid, transaction reference, access status and end date, sponsor code, and referral (affiliate) code, if any. Card details are entered directly with our payment processor, Stripe; HBTS does not receive or store full card numbers.
Affiliate applicants and affiliates: the application details you submit, your PayPal email for payouts, your typed electronic signature, and, when you submit an application or accept the Affiliate Agreement, the date and time, IP address, and browser type, kept as part of the agreement record.
What not to enter
Please never enter Social Security numbers, bank or card numbers, passwords, or tax identification numbers into worksheets. The Tool does not need them.
How your worksheet data is used
Your worksheet values are stored in your own account and are visible only to you when signed in. HBTS uses them only to operate the Tool for you.
Detailed financial values are never sent to marketing or customer-relationship (CRM) systems. Only contact and status information (such as name, email, access status, whether a worksheet was started or completed, whether a report was generated, sponsor or referral code, and affiliate program status) may be shared with our CRM system to send service and program messages.
Service providers
We use trusted providers to host the Tool and its database, process payments (Stripe), and send service messages. They process information only on our behalf.
Retention and security
Account and worksheet data are kept while your account exists. Purchase, commission, and signed affiliate agreement records are kept as business records. Data is protected by access controls so each user can see only their own information.
Your choices
Marketing communications are optional and separate from account creation. You can delete a worksheet at any time from your dashboard. To request access to or deletion of your account information, email obc.coaching@gmail.com.
Children
The Tool is intended for adults operating a business and is not directed to children under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes, the effective date above will be updated.
